Our Founder Joanne Selinske is the founder and president of Soul Source – oasis for transformation which she launched in 2008 following a three decade long career as a social welfare executive and advocate for human rights and protections. This shift of professional focus was the culmination of her passion to ease the suffering of others and become a part of the human potential movement. While the external products of her social welfare work manifest in systems capable of ministering to human need, she believes the intangible products have the potential to effect the greatest change.
struggled, I found that people everywhere sought personal peace and loving and satisfying relationships based on mutual respect and regard. Their faith in a force greater than humanity provided comfort and hope even as they coped with extreme deprivation, loss and harrowing life circumstances. I discovered in the wreckage of relationships and life calamity the essence of the human spirit and was inspired to share this wisdom with those on the path of self-discovery and transformation.”
misery and humanity’s potential for transformation. She holds a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/ Family Studies, a BS in Psychology. She is an Interfaith Minister, whose work is informed by her study and knowledge of the Eastern Wisdom Traditions. She is a Certified Hypnotherapist and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in metaphysical hypnosis which is undergirding her knowledge of the interconnected nature of spirit and mind. A self-described student of “eternity”, she credits the work of Drs. Moody, Weiss, Stevenson, Newton, Myss and Levy with shaping the mental constructs through which she views the temporal world and contemplates the eternal nature of life. Joanne is an experienced speaker and trainer, confident before plenary and workshop audiences; academic, corporate and legislative bodies; live and pre-broadcast television and radio; local, national and international audiences. Her current training program focuses on helping audiences differentiate between external worth and intrinsic value, finding stillness and peace in a chaotic world, experiencing Source in everyday living, ways to change your thinking and your life and in turn change the world. Her hypnosis practice focuses on promoting emotional and spiritual transformation. Like many contemporaries in the integral spiritual movement, she is committed to helping people live their spiritual beliefs in order to discover personal serenity, achieve interpersonal harmony and contribute to global peace. She views stillness, silence and meditative practice as key components of personal growth, enhancement and the gateway on the path to enlightenment. She credits her own practice as creating the “information by-way” for conversations with Soul and opening up the doorway for reunion with Source. An author of more than a dozen social welfare publications, her current work-in-progress testifies to her passion for helping others learn to hear the ‘whispers of their soul’. Our Commitment to Act Locally, Reach Globally Soul Source’s founders believe that we are one people, one with Spirit, one global community. Each of us has the capacity to contribute to intergroup harmony, and prosperity – foundational conditions to global peace. Each of us can be an instrument of peace. The energy of our actions and intentions reverberate outward. Without traveling to distant places, we can affect the lives of people around the world. We can act locally and reach globally. Through our actions we become pebbles of peace.

developing countries, most citizens earn their livings through self-employment, creating and operating their own tiny businesses. Without financial services to fuel growth, the poor cannot grow small enterprises into businesses that help them escape poverty. Micro-finance refers to financial services, such as small loans, provided to low-income people, usually to help support self-employment. These services help families to start and build "micro" enterprises, the very small businesses that are important sources of employment, income, and economic vitality in developing countries around the world. of mind-body-spirit incorporated in the State of Maryland whose purpose is:
the end of suffering and for universal peace, justice, compassion and humanitarianism.
Our Goal Our goal is simple while significant – to assist you on your personal path to health, joy and harmonious relations in hopes that we can shape the fate of our shared destiny. We are after all, one people, living in one global community, born of one massively beautiful, intelligent and conscious energy – the mystery named God. Together we can transform our hopes and dreams into individual actions and group practices that prevent “dis-ease”, promote health and foster harmony within small and large groups.
We believe the integration of mind-body-spirit is the foundation of individual health and serenity. We recognize our unity in Spirit -- the intelligent force that creates all life called God, Source, Spirit, Higher Source, The Creator, Cosmic Consciousness, The Universe, All That Is, Allah, Elijah, Mother Earth, Yahweh, Krishna, Tao, Brahman, Nirvana, and Jehovah. We understand the eternal nature and oneness of life. We concur that by building bridges of understanding, humanity can realize its oneness and come to respect and appreciate the interconnectedness of all life. We understand that we are one people, one with Spirit, one global community. We commit to universal peace, justice, compassion and humanitarianism. We believe that we can act locally while having a global impact; sharing the abundance, beauty and love that blesses our lives. |
