FACILITY & LOCATION Soul Source is in a two story brick and stone rancher. It is set back, mid-way on the property that one enters and exits via a large semi-circular drive with adjacent parking court. Parking is ample, easily accommodating group events. Entry to Soul Source is on the lower level at the REAR of the building facing the pastures using the stone path that you will find off the right side when facing the house. The facility is located approximately 1/4 m from the crossroads of Muncaster Road, Muncaster Mill Road (Rt. 115) and Redland Avenue (this intersection is less than ¼ mile from Shady Grove Road). It is three miles from the Shady Grove Metro, Red Line stop of the D.C. Metro system. It is three miles to the entrance to Rt. 370, leading to Interstate 270 -- within minutes of both Gaithersburg and Rockville. Soul Source is three miles from the Inter-County Connector, a six lane highway that will connect Anne Arundel, Prince George, Howard and Montgomery Counties to the Interstate 95 corridor and the Washington D.C. Beltway. For participants approaching from the west, you will reach Soul Source, three miles south of the intersection of Muncaster Road and Rt. 108 on the western edge of Olney. Soul Source is less than 4 miles from the Olney Mill. Derwood is twenty minutes west of Clarkesville, and fifty-minutes west of Baltimore City’s western side (I 695 and I 70). The combination of location and site amenities make it both a convenient and ideal destination for hourly, daily or multi-day retreat. The site is accessible for guests arriving by air or rail. The Red Line of the D.C. Metro system connects Union Station to the region’s three international airports – BWI/Thurgood Marshall International, Reagan International and Dulles International. Union Station is a terminus for Maryland MARC train lines and a major stop on the Northeast-Corridor of Amtrak. |
